Although the Italico label was previously used for a Veneto wine, the 2019 Italico Pinot Grigio is from Molise, the small coastal region south of Abruzzo and north of Puglia. The vineyards are in an enchanting location between sky and sea, near Petacciato, where they benefit from the cool sea breezes from the nearby Adriatic.

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Grigio.

Origin: Petacciato, Provincia di Campobasso, Molise, south-central Italy.

Aging: Stainless steel.

Alcohol: 12.5%.

Tasting Notes: Straw yellow color. The nose has a delicate bouquet of citrus, apple, and pear, with notes of almond. In the mouth it is crisp and dry with a pleasant freshness and soft pear and melon flavors along with good persistence.

Food Pairing: Goes well with fish, seafood, pureed vegetable soups, grain-based soups, pasta with cream sauce, and fresh cheeses.

Serving Temperature: 10° to 12°C (well chilled).
