This wine comes from a small family winery located to the southeast of the Comune di Montalcino, its sunniest zone. The name "Corte dei Venti" refers to the fact that the area is always ventilated by Mediterranean breezes which, among other factors, ensure season-long favourable and optimal conditions for growing grapes. The Monaci family and their experienced enologist are dedicated to following the time-honoured traditions of making high-quality, authentic wines.

Awards: Winner of multiple medals from various competitions, as well as the coveted Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Rosso 2019.

Grape Variety: 100% Sangiovese grosso.

Origin: Piancornello, Montalcino (SI).

Aging: 36 months in Slavonian 20/25 hl oak barrels followed by a minimum of 8 months in the bottle.

Alcohol: 14.5%.

Tasting Notes: Bright ruby with garnet hues. Typical aromas of ripe red fruits that combine with hints of vanilla and chocolate against a delicate and ethereal balsamic background, with additional notes of tobacco and medicinal herbs. Great intensity in the mouth. The fullness and roundness are excellently supported by freshness and structure. The tannins are robust and soft at the same time, giving an elegance and persistence to this wine and assuring it of a long life. Drink 2020-2027.

Food Pairing: This is a superb wine for sipping and enjoying on its own. Also excellent with aged cheeses and cold cuts, meaty main dishes, roasted meats and game.

Serving Temperature: 18-20°C is the optimal serving temperature for Brunello. It should be decanted (or at least uncorked) and allowed to "breathe" for a few hours before serving. This will bring out its complex flavours and soften its tannins for ultimate enjoyment.
